A few days ago I shared with you my 3D printer, the Printrbot Simple Metal. When I bought this printer there was a BuildTak 3D Print Surface which has performed well for me. But it had a few holes in it and removing prints was becoming a challenge without ruining the BuildTak.
As I wrote over a year ago in the article I want to be a 3D Printing Noob ?!? I really, really wanted to get a 3D printer, so that I could get started on 3D printing, more than just when I had the opportunity to print at FabLab Spinderihallerne, maybe once a week, when I had the time to go there. So I was looking for a cheap 3D printer to own myself.

I really, really want to be a 3D Printing Noob. Not that I want to stay one. I just want to get started on 3D Printing. Or rather, I would like to have my own 3D printer.
I have had a few tries (2) at 3D printing items, at publicly available printers, but it would be really, really nice to have my own 3D printer. That is what this blog will be about. How to find and buy the right 3D printer (for me) with the funds I have available.
